The Finished Product, Almost

Stefanie came by today and tried on her dress. She loved it, not one single complaint. We had decided today to go find the shoes and the belt before the modeling session. We wanted red, how hard could that be. What an ordeal that turned out to be. She likes comfort in shoes, she loves flats and oxfords. She has extremely small feet, size 5.5 in woman or she can use a 4 or 5 in children. After trips to Kohls, Burlington Coat Factory, Payless, TJ Maxx, Shoe Sensation and Target we were exhausted and had found nothing. Came home and did find a pair on Kohl’s website so we have ordered them. I have my fingers crossed that they fit. Image

Stef did take the dress home and sent me a photo with a wide black belt. I personally didn’t like the belt with the dress but it looked ok.  Image Looks like it bunched the bodice up because of the elastic but she was going to wear it to dinner, one way or another. As soon as the shoes make their way to my door I will be taking new photos and post them.

On another HAPPY note, I received an email today that I had won two vintage patterns to add to my ever growing collection. A special thanks to Melody at Bourbon and Bras. If you have not checked out her blog be sure to visit. I always look forward to what she is working on. A creative person that will be sure to inspire you.

Tomorrow I will be concentrating on finishing up the messenger bag project for charmed Liebling. I do already have a few pieces cut but I need to really get this done. I will be critiquing the pattern and its instructions, as well as my own sewing abilities.
