Fabric Store Trip and Blog Anniversary Celebration!

Had some great sales this weekend at my local fabric stores and just could not resist adding more to my fabric and pattern stash. Geez… I need help.. serious help..

It wasn’t really a large purchase. I only purchased three patterns and they were all on sale. That makes it okay doesn’t it?!  And the fabric. I love the beautiful crepe that was on sale. It was only $3.50 a yard and the matching lining was only $3.00 a yard. The color is ginger, I don’t think I have anything in my stash in the color palette and it does say FALL!  I also added a ponte knit in a chocolate brown, and a beautiful semi sheer blouse fabric that matches the ginger and the chocolate brown fabric. I really do have a plan for my fabric choices. Pattern Review has an upcoming contest called “Mini-Wardrobe Contest“. It doesn’t begin until September and hopefully I will be able to enter this. Planning ahead might help me complete this. If you are not currently a member of Pattern Review you really should check out their site, they are a wonderful sewing community.

I want to wish Annette Tirette’s blog Happy Anniversary! She is a great seamstress and has a wonderful sense of style. I love the dress and her shoes are adorable!

DSC_0290-2Be sure and check out her site. She is celebrating her one year with a wonderful fabric giveaway from her fabric stash. The choices are wonderful.
